The New Orleans Pelicans will be without point guard Rajon Rondo against the league-leading Houston Rockets on Saturday night.
Rondo was a surprise addition to the injury report, the team ruling him out with a sprained wrist.
Forward Nikola Mirotic was also listed as questionable with a hip flexor.
The Pelicans, seeking their fifth straight win, were off Friday after playing three games in three nights. New Orleans (43-30) is currently tied with San Antonio for fifth in the Western Conference standings, one game ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
It’s not clear when Rondo was hurt, as he logged at least 29 minutes in all three games and finished with a 24-point, 10-assists double-double against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
For the season, Rondo is averaging 8.2 points, 7.9 assists and four rebounds per game, but has upped those numbers to 10.3 points, 9.7 assists and 5.1 rebounds since the All-Star break.
