Ronnie O’Sullivan and Laila Rouass SPLIT!

Ronnie O’Sullivan and Laila Rouass have split.

The 50-year-old actress revealed on Twitter that she and the six-time world snooker champion, 46, had gone their separate ways after almost a decade together – but didn’t give a reason why.

Laila tweeted: ‘After nearly ten years of love and memories, Ronnie I have parted ways. Peace and love to you all. Laila X (sic).’ Ronnie has yet to address the split.

The couple first got together in 2012 and became engaged the following year.

Ex-Holby City star Laila previously revealed how the duo first crossed paths when she was house-hunting and that their meeting came about by chance.

She said: ‘It happened by accident. I was shown around Ronnie’s house by his father, who told his son about meeting me.

‘Ronnie called the estate agent, a friend of mine, and asked me out via her.

‘When she said he was a snooker player, I said, “Yeah, but what does he do for a living?” I’d never heard of him because sport doesn’t interest me at all, although Ronnie’s won me over to snooker.’

The pair never tied the knot despite being engaged for several years and Ronnie previously suggested that the pair were not in a rush to get married.

Speaking in 2019, the sports star said: ‘We’ve been engaged for a while now, so we know we want to be with each other, I’m sure we will get round to it.

‘We’re very casual and laid-back about the whole thing anyway. When it happens, it will happen. I love her, I love her company, I admire her.

‘She’s good for me in many ways and understands me and the business and gets it and what I go through.’

In 2016, Laila said the thought of getting married ‘scared the hell’ out of her.

She told Hello! magazine: ‘I haven’t set a wedding date yet. I haven’t got a clue and I haven’t even thought about marriage.

‘Oh god, it scares the hell out of me. I’m too busy with my daughter and he’s playing in China at the moment so marriage isn’t on the cards just yet.’

Laila shares one daughter, Inez, 15, with ex Nasir Khan.

Ronnie, 46, has three children: Taylor-Ann, 25, from a two-year relationship with Sally Magnus, and Lily, 15, and Ronnie Jr, 14, from a relationship with Jo Langley.

He became a grandfather in 2016 when Taylor-Ann welcomed a daughter.

The sportsman is widely recognised as one of the most talented and accomplished players in the history of snooker. He holds the record for the most ranking titles in professional snooker, with 38.

Laila is best known for her portrayal of Amber Gates in the drama series Footballers’ Wives and is also for her work as Sahira Shah in Holby City.

The couple kept their romance largely off social media – Laila last posted about Ronnie in May 2021 when she shared a throwback snap – while Ronnie’s last post was in 2018 when he branded Laila his ‘woman crush Wednesday.’

The news of their split comes after it emerged Ronnie’s convicted murderer father is living in a campervan with a woman half his age – a spirituality and ‘clean living’ enthusiast who went to the same private school as Holly Willoughby.

Ronnie Snr. 67, hit the road with health drink entrepreneur Tiffany Kushner, 34, after they became ‘bored with comfortable living’ and splashed out £94,000 on a luxury Mercedes motorhome.

O’Sullivan Senior made millions running sex shops in Soho but was jailed when his son was just 16 for the brutal stabbing of Bruce Bryan, a driver to the gangster Charlie Kray, in a nightclub in Chelsea.

Then aged 37, O’Sullivan senior had been ‘binge’ drinking on champagne with a friend in 1991 when he went ‘looking for trouble’ at a club in the King’s Road.

He set upon Mr Bryan and his brother Kelvin, allegedly hurling racist abuse at the two black men.

Pulling out a six-inch hunting knife, O’Sullivan stabbed Bruce Bryan to death.

O’Sullivan junior, widely regarded as the greatest talent ever to play the game, dedicated his first of three world championships to his father. He has battled depression, which some have suggested might even be linked to his father’s absence.

When he was 19, both his parents were in jail after his Italian-born mother was given a one-year sentence for tax evasion.  Ronnie had to look after the family business and younger sister, Danielle, while rising to the top of his sport.

MailOnline contacted representatives for both Ronnies and Tiffany for comment.
