Rose McGowan New York hotel Harvey Weinstein Alyssa Milano

Rose McGowan was spotted flashing a peace sign for cameras while leaving a hotel in New York City’s Greenwich Village neighborhood on Thursday.

The nightspot is located right next to Harvey Weinstein’s former office, the Hollywood mogul who McGowan is partially responsible for bringing down with her reports of sexual misconduct allegations, along with accusations lodged against him by other women, in October.

The #MeToo movement went viral in October after McGowan’s former Charmed co-star, Alyssa Milano, 45, tweeted: ‘If you’ve been sexually harassed or assaulted write ‘me too’ as a reply to this tweet.’

‘I don’t like her,’ McGowan, 44, told ABC News Nightline co-anchor Juju Chang in an interview that aired Wednesday. ‘Because I think she’s a lie.’

McGowan later tweeted, referencing her statement: ‘Yeah, I knew this would be the pull quote, but the lie is a system, not an individual.’

The #MeToo movement, which caught on over social media in the Fall, was first started offline by Tarana Burke, more than a decade ago.

The concept is for women to share their experiences of sexual assault and instances in which men abused their power over them in the workplace, in the hope that those who have done wrong will be held accountable for their actions.

In response to the many #MeToo stories that followed Weinstein’s outing, leading women in politics and entertainment created the ‘Time’s Up’ movement.

The movement supports an organization by the same name that provides support and a legal defense fund for women across all industries who have experienced disparity in treatment, unequal pay and harassment at work.

But McGowan feels Milano’s involvement is disingenuous.

‘Do you think I don’t know these people?’ McGowan said to Chang.

The actor went on to note that Milano is married to Dave Bugliari, who is an agent at Creative Artists Agency LLC (CAA).

‘Do the math. Who’s behind Time’s Up? CAA. Where do they meet? CAA? Who needs good PR? CAA. Who are part of the pimp problem? CAA.’

CAA has not publicly comments on the statement, but Milano issued her own statement in support of McGowan.

‘I am and always have been completely supportive of Rose and admire her bravery and speaking out about her experiences,’ Milano said.

‘My goal throughout the past few months with both #MeToo and the Time’s Up movement has been to use my platform to give others a voice so we can all work together to stamp out sexual harassment and sexual assault.’
