Roxy Horner reveals her unborn baby’s gender and details her ‘horrific’ pregnancy

Roxy Horner has spoken out about her ‘horrific’ pregnancy as she prepares to welcome her first child with partner Jack Whitehall.

The model, 32, announced in May that she was expecting a baby after having a miscarriage, and revealed on Tuesday’s episode of Steph’s Packed Lunch that they are having a baby girl.

Speaking to Steph McGovern, she said: ‘I’m having a little girl. We’ve thought of some names, but I feel like none that are like really sticking out. So if anyone’s got any ideas. I’m so excited, I can’t wait.’

Asked if she was nervous about the birth Roxy said: ‘Weirdly no, maybe I should be. I’m just very excited. I’ve always wanted a baby and a family so it’s something that’s always been on the cards.’

Meanwhile, in an exclusive chat with MailOnline, Roxy opened up about her debilitating morning sickness, revealing it made pregnancy ‘horrific.’

She explained: ‘Oh my God, I’ve been so sick. I’m six months now, but up until literally six months, I was throwing up every day.

‘Once I hit six months, it let me have a break, and I was like, thank God, but I was throwing up eight times a day. It was horrific.

‘Luckily, I had my friend who lives around the corner, and she came to visit me. I was in a bad way for a while.’

Roxy’s friend had to come to the rescue because Jack was away working in the States for her first three months of pregnancy, which Roxy mused was ‘very tough.’

Yet she reasoned: ‘I had my mum visiting me, and then he came back for the best bit when I started feeling better.’

The couple have been dating for more than two years and they reside in a £17.5million, five-bedroom home in Notting Hill with their pooch Coco.

She added that Jack had been ‘amazing’ throughout her pregnancy and that he recently treated her and her friends to a spa day to celebrate her birthday.

Asked if her experience had put her off planning for more children, Roxy explained: ‘It’s so funny because people ask me that a lot and I don’t know right now.

‘At the moment, I can’t imagine falling pregnant again anytime soon, but we’ll see, maybe in a year’s time I’ll forget how rough it’s been.’

Roxy also revealed her pregnancy cravings, saying: ‘I’ve been craving ice, specifically crushed ice, and anything icy. If I see an icy drink – I’m like, I need it.’

Meanwhile, during her appearance on Steph’s Packed Lunch, Roxy spoke about the impact of her pregnancy on her Type 1 Diabetes, diagnosed in 2021.

She said: ‘Your sugar levels kind of go up a lot higher during pregnancy, because you come become more resistant.

‘So it’s quite hard to manage and it’s changing weekly, before I was pregnant I knew exactly my carbs to insulin ratio, whereas now it’s just changing all the time.

‘I’m having to up my insulin dose pretty much daily at the moment because I’m in the third trimester and that’s when it really kicks in.

‘You have to manage it a lot more tightly as well during pregnancy because it’s not just you, you’re thinking about the baby as well.’
