Roxy Jacenko reflects on the past year ahead of her LAVISH celebrations

PR queen Roxy Jacenko has said she ‘hit rock bottom’ last year and that her life had basically ‘fallen apart.’

Reflecting on the past 12 months ahead of her lavish 38th birthday celebrations, the entrepreneurial blonde said this year is a marked difference.

The Sweaty Betty PR founder told Daily Mail Australia on Saturday that her 37th birthday was at a very challenging time.

Roxy said she was dealing with Oliver’s incarceration, her weight had plummeted to 49 kilograms, and she had a cancer diagnosis.

‘Last year Oli was in prison and I had hit rock bottom,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘Life had basically fallen apart, weight was at 49kg and I had been through cancer,’ she continued to say of the challenging time.

Roxy’s 38th birthday is something to look forward to, with her husband home and her children happy.

‘This year, he is home, my children are happy and again full of life, I am in good health and we have balance in our lives,’ she said.

Roxy’s husband Oliver Curtis was released from prison in June last year, after serving a sentence for conspiracy to commit insider trading.

The couple share two children together, daughter Pixie, six, and son Hunter, four.

Roxy also let slip about her lavish plans for her birthday, telling Daily Mail Australia that she’ll be celebrating in lavish style at Longrain in Sydney’s Surry Hills.

The best-selling author said she will be joined by 40 family and friends, with a secret garden theme.

Not one to skimp on events, her party will be styled by Philip Carr, who has done work with former US President Bill Clinton and former South African President, Nelson Mandela.

‘I haven’t had a birthday celebration of this scale before so I am very excited,’ Roxy told Daily Mail Australia.

Despite the high-octane celebrations, she added on Friday (which is her actual birthday) she would be spending time with her children, Pixie and Hunter.

‘Friday which is my actual birthday will be spent over a casual meal with Pixie and Hunter – no big soiree, just our usual,’ she said.

‘A fun Chinese meal (Lazy Susan essential) at Golden Century Chinese restaurant.’
