EXCLUSIVE: ‘There is no doubt I had a problem’: Roxy Jacenko reveals she avoided eating, went to bed hungry and had mother Doreen ‘forcing food’ on her when her weight plummeted to a dangerously low 49kg
‘I dropped to 49kg at one point in 2016 -2017, it was a bad time for me, I was having personal issues, had been diagnosed with cancer, managing my businesses (Ministry of Talent, Sweaty Betty PR and Pixies Bows), had the two kids and a husband that was in jail,’ Roxy told Daily Mail Australia last week.
‘I recall going to mum’s place on a Tuesday for family dinner and her forcing food on me – there is no doubt I had a problem,’ Roxy admitted.
The blonde bombshell, who has more than 210,000 followers, regularly posted pictures flaunting her washboard abs and slender physique, with fans complimenting her appearance in the comments.
‘It’s funny how when people say you are looking “great” even though you are well on your way to being skin and bone that you buy into it and keep trying to get slimmer!! I was in a really bad place and whilst I had a 4 pack which, I thought was fantastic, realistically I was starving myself,’ Roxy confessed.

Roxy previously admitted to training five, or more. days a week and eating clean.
She was famously quoted saying ‘cheat days are almost non-existent!’ while discussing her strict diet in 2016.
Roxy said, at the time, that she followed a strict fish-based diet, saying: ‘I’m VERY careful with what I eat. Basically a sashimi sushi diet daily, washed down with a couple of green juices a day.’
Looking back at her former diet, Roxy said: ‘Truth be told, the sushi diet was stupid. How I did it for 12 months in hindsight, I do not know.’
‘I was obsessed, unhealthily obsessed’: The Sweaty Betty owner confessed to lying about being full and going to bed early to avoid eating

Explaining the extent of her ‘problem’, Roxy went on to say: ‘I would go out and chase food around the plate, say I was full, and not eat it. If I was hungry, I would go to bed if I was at home to stop myself going to the fridge. I was obsessed, unhealthily obsessed.’
However, Roxy now says she’s sitting at a ‘much healthier weight’ of 52kg and has a ‘balanced gym and eating regime’, which she credits for a clear and happy mindset.
She recently collaborated with Sydney’s Chargrill Charlie’s to launch her own line of nutritious sides, with the range labeled ‘Roxy’s Clean and Lean Salads’.

‘There is no doubt I had a problem – but then in the position I was in, I am not surprised, my marriage had failed, I had two children who I was worried for, I had breast cancer and then add three companies to run!’ she added.
Roxy was diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2016, mere weeks after her husband Oliver Curtis was jailed for insider trading.
Oliver, who was sentenced to two years in prison, was released in June last year after 12 months on a good behaviour bond.
In July last year, Roxy revealed that Oliver had proposed again, after his release from prison.
The pair share two young children together, daughter Pixie, six, and son Hunter, three.
