Roxy Jacenko said her marriage was in trouble for years

Earlier this month Roxy Jacenko revealed she was ‘heading for divorce’ as her husband Oliver Curtis spent a year in prison for conspiracy to commit insider trading.

And on Monday’s Today Extra, the 37-year-old PR guru said their marriage was in trouble long before he went to jail.

‘It was a train wreck,’ the Sweaty Betty boss explained.

‘I was concrete on getting divorced.

‘I was done. There was so much water under the bridge. You’ve got to remember, yes, he went to jail for 12 months but I had five years in the lead-up to that of the worry, what is going to happen tomorrow, what am I going to do?’

‘It was terrible,’ Roxy added.

‘Marriages are hard at the best of times. Throw my challenges into it and you’ve really got a train wreck.’

‘It was hard. I had really made up my mind that that was it. Then he came home and my life turned around. I was miserable. That’s why I put all of my energy into gym. I became this obsessive gym person and obsessive eating person,’ she explained. 

‘Then he came home and I was like “wow, this is now how life is supposed to be.” Because for five years, my marriage was not a normal marriage.’

Roxy and Oliver first tied the knot at Sydney’s Quay in 2012.

He was released from Cooma Correctional Centre in June after serving a year behind bars. 

Oliver proposed to Roxy for a second time on July 15 at Sydney’s Four Seasons Hotel.

Setting up balloons which read ‘Marry Me? again’, he presented her with a stunning new diamond ring. 

During his time in prison, Roxy was battled breast cancer and raised their two children, Pixie, six, and Hunter, three.
