Roxy Jacenko’s VERY different looks over the years as she turns 44

Roxy Jacenko is celebrating her final birthday as a Sydney socialite as she prepares to move to Singapore with her family.

And as she turns 44, we look back at her incredible transformation from a fresh-faced receptionist to a plastic fantastic PR pro worth millions.

While fans may know the mother-of-two for her love of fake tan, blonde hair extensions and cosmetic enhancements, Roxy wasn’t always quite so glamorous.

The publicist was once a teenage McDonald’s worker whose low grades at school made it impossible for her to enter university.

Instead, the ambitious youngster began working odd jobs after she finished high school – working as a junior florist by day and developing photos for the local Kodak store by night.

She then took a job on the reception desk at clothing company Diesel, working her way up to their marketing manager despite having no experience in PR or marketing.

Photos from this time show Roxy looking almost unrecognisable with light brown hair, thinner eyebrows, freckles and a fresh complexion untouched by cosmetic surgery and dermal fillers.

Shortly after founding her own publicity company Sweaty Betty PR at age 24, Roxy began experimenting with her look.

She began wearing grungy eye makeup while also dyeing her hair dark brown.

The socialite started wearing hair extensions, and began paying regular visits to the spray tanning salon.

As her business found more success, Roxy’s look also started to become more expensive.

In 2015 she started bleaching her hair blonde and switched her grungy makeup to a more contoured look similar to Kim Kardashian. She also allowed her eyebrows to grow fuller and started wearing eyelash extensions.

Once a proponent of the bohemian, care-free aesthetic of Sydney’s early 2000s social scene, Roxy has since embraced a more showy fashion sense and is now known for her love of luxury designer clothing and accessories.

Her enthusiasm for cosmetic surgery also began around this time, with the businesswoman again changing her look with rhinoplasty.

Discussing her new nose with Who magazine at the time, Roxy said: ‘I was over the droopy end and bump on the top of my nose, so it made sense to get it tweaked.

‘My nose is already looking one hundred times better and being able to breathe [properly] is a luxury.’

She then underwent a second breast reconstruction in 2018 after recovering from breast cancer two years prior.

Roxy has never shied away from admitting she’s had a few tweaks.

Roxy revealed at one of her speaking events in June 2018 that there was ‘nothing wrong’ with having procedures done to ‘fix’ things.

‘If you’re not happy with something about yourself, what’s wrong with changing it? I like to be real. There’s nothing worse than when you read articles about people refuting claims that they’ve fixed this or fixed that,’ Roxy said.

She then joked about her ‘sultana t*ts’ and said her old nose used to ‘enter a room before her’.

Roxy has never been afraid to draw attention to how much she's changed over the years, and even uploaded these 'before and after' style images of herself on Instagram in 2020

Roxy has also been open about her love of cosmetic fillers and Botox injections over the years.

Speaking to The Kyle and Jackie O Show in 2018, Roxy even joked that her lips would melt in the sun because she’d put ‘too much stuff’ in them.

However, in 2022 Roxy announced she’d finally dissolved her famous lip fillers in favour of a more ‘natural’-looking procedure called the lip flip.

A lip flip is a procedure that injects Botox into parts of your upper lip.

Unlike lip fillers, a lip flip will defines the cupid’s bow and provides more shape, while the lip filler adds more volume and plump the lips.

In April this year Roxy debuted yet another new look, cutting her hair into a bob and dying her locks a warm shade of chocolate brown.

Showing off off her new style in an Instagram video, Roxy explained she was ‘almost back to her natural state’ after sporting brown hair back when she started Sweaty Betty PR in her twenties.

A month later, Roxy once again transformed her ‘do by added a set of thick brown extensions.

The entrepreneur’s weight has also changed significantly in recent years.

When her husband Oliver Curtis was jailed for insider trading in 2016, Roxy’s life spiralled and her weight plummeted to dangerously low levels.

Despite this, she often paraded her extremely slim frame in tiny bikinis on Instagram, sparking concern among fans.

Roxy has since faced her demons and has put on more weight to achieve a healthier size.

She previously spoke to Daily Mail about how ‘dangerous’ her weight loss became during her darker days.

‘I dropped to 49kg at one point in 2016 -2017, it was a bad time for me,’ she told Daily Mail Australia in February 2018.

‘I was having personal issues, had been diagnosed with cancer, managing my businesses (Ministry of Talent, Sweaty Betty PR and Pixies Bows), had the two kids and a husband that was in jail.’

She continued: ‘I recall going to mum’s place on a Tuesday for family dinner and her forcing food on me – there is no doubt I had a problem.’
