Ruby Tuesday Matthews has called out a sick troll who questioned whether she was ‘still engaged’ to her fiancé Shannan Dodd, just days after she announced they’d lost their unborn child to miscarriage.
The influencer, 26, publicly shared the ‘insensitive and rude’ private message she received on Instagram on Wednesday.
The message read: ‘Are you still engaged now that you are no longer pregnant? I’m assuming that’s why he proposed so soon?’

Ruby, who was furious about the unsolicited message, responded: ‘Not that it’s anyone’s business, but we got engaged in May and kept it private.
‘I found out I was pregnant in June. So yes, I’m still engaged. It wasn’t a shotgun wedding or engagement. It’s an extremely insensitive and rude question during such a painful time for my partner and I.’
She clarified that she and Shannan got engaged for the right reasons, adding: ‘I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him, regardless of if our family expands or not.’

Ruby had announced the her miscarriage on Instagram on Sunday, August 15.
She revealed she’d kept the pregnancy secret after having complications with her second child, son Mars, who is three years old.
‘This is something I would have preferred to keep out of social media but the amount of questions I was getting daily asking if I was pregnant is the reason I feel the need to share,’ she wrote alongside a photo of her bump.
‘We didn’t want to share as I have been through this before almost losing Mars, but sadly we lost our little boy.

‘I want to be present on social media and work, as like everyone I have obligations. Please respect mine and my partners privacy, this is a topic I won’t be discussing at this point in time. Thankyou for understanding.’
The statement was signed off by both Ruby and Shannan.

It’s not known exactly when Ruby and Shannan began dating, but she started posting loved-up Instagram photos with him in May.
Shannan also happens to be the ex-boyfriend of P.E. Nation founder Pip Edwards.
