Rumer Willis gushed her father Bruce Willis is a doting grandparent to her one-year-old daughter Louetta.
During an appearance on Today, Willis raved her father is a true ‘girl dad’ as she described seeing him with her little girl.
Willis, 35, welcomed daughter Louetta, her first child, with boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas last year, amid her father’s battle with frontotemporal dementia.
The star – who was seen out that day in a floral maxi dress – was elated to share how her father had taken to being a grandparent as she recalled a precious interaction he recently had with her daughter.
Rumer said her father, 69, is doing ‘so good’ before adding, ‘Lou is just starting to walk a little bit, and she was walking over to him, and it was so sweet. It’s so nice because I feel like my dad, he’s a girl dad, through and through.

‘And it almost unlocks that kind of little kid, girl dad thing. He’s so sweet with her. I saw him with my sisters, my little sisters,’ she added.
Speaking of how Bruce and her mother Demi Moore have been as grandparents, she said: ‘Honestly, seeing them with her, it almost unlocks all of these childhood memories because being a grandparent, I think, is the best.’
‘They have all of the love and joy without any of the responsibilities. They get to just spoil her,’ she added.
She also shared an update on her father: ‘He’s so good. I actually got to see him right before I came out,’ she told Hoda.
Rumer continued gushing about motherhood during an appearance on Hoda & Jenna.
‘It’s the best. Honestly, I know there’s a bit of a cultural line sometimes that talks about how challenging motherhood is, and I have to say, she’s kind of an anomaly,’ she said.
She gushed her daughter is an ‘incredible child’ who remarkably ‘sleeps through the night.’
Willis also opened up about how she felt that becoming a mother had a positive impact on her abilities as a performer.

‘It’s been teaching me so much about how to stay present with myself and even with performing, how to just, like, stay more grounded in the moment and be able to connect with people,’ she said.
Willis’ father retired from the entertainment industry in 2022 after his family announced that he had been diagnosed with aphasia.
The performer’s diagnosis was updated the following year, when it was revealed that he had been suffering from frontotemporal dementia.
The Pulp Ficton star’s family has rallied closely around him in the years since his retirement, and he is occasionally featured in photos shared on his loved ones’ social media accounts.
