Rumours Michael Schumacher to be treatment are false

  • The seven times world champion had a ski accident in 2013 that left him in coma
  • He is currently being cared for by a team of medics at his Swiss mansion 
  • It was reported he would be going to the United States for treatment
  • But those rumours have now been dismissed and he remains at home 

Formula One legend Michael Schumacher will not be travelling to the United States to be treated for injuries sustained in a skiing accident. 

The German former Ferrari driver was left comatose following the December 2013 accident and has not been seen in public since.

It was reported there was  48-year-old could be taken to Texas, where he has a ranch, for treatment at nearby hospital that offered fresh hope him.

But it is understood that is not the case and he will continue to be for by a team of medics his Swiss mansion.

Schumacher awoke from his coma in 2014 but remains immobile and cannot speak. 

His wife, Corinna, has been running the family businesses, as well as taking care of her children, and there have been few details released about his medical condition.

Earlier this year German magazine celebrity magazine Bunte was ordered to pay Schumacher £45,000 for falsely claiming he could walk again. 

Also this year a blackmailer who threatened the safety of his children in a bid to extort money was ordered to undergo psychiatric therapy and community service.

The District Court in Reutlingen heard how painter Huseyin B. 25, from Dettingen in an e-mail Mrs Schumacher threatening to harm their children unless money was paid.
