Russel Crowe and his partner Britney Theriot were turned away from a Melbourne restaurant after trying to grab a quick bite to eat in their sports gear after a round of tennis.
The pair took to the court on Friday but found themselves barred when they attempted to enter Japanese-fusion restaurant Mr Miyagi for a post-workout lunch.
It’s understood the couple were denied entry because they were still wearing their tennis attire – on a day when sweat levels were high as Melbourne’s temperature reached 37 degrees.
Crowe’s manager Grant Vandenberg told Daily Mail Australia they were turned away while trying to grab ‘a quick bite to eat’.

‘He (Russell) went there wearing a brand new Ralph Lauren polo having just played a game of tennis and was turned away,’ Mr Vandenberg said.
Crowe and Theriot then went to another nearby restaurant for lunch.
Following the encounter, both he and the restaurant have been put in contact to smooth things over.
Mr Miyagi’s dress code states the establishment has a ‘smart casual dress code’ where work gear, active wear, singlets and thongs are not permitted.
Mr Miyagi has been contacted by Daily Mail Australia for comment.
Crowe and Theriot have been together since 2020 and have been pictured playing tennis together on more than one occasion.
The couple met on the film set for Broken City in 2013 and were confirmed as together after being captured being affectionate with one another on a tennis court in November, 2020
