Monday Night Football is back and so is Russell Wilson in Seattle. The quarterback has already marked his debut with the Denver Broncos without even throwing a pass as he showed up to his former home stadium wearing a mint green tuxedo.

The 33-year-old completed his chic look with a black bow tie and looked locked in when he passed security at Lumen Field ahead of the league’s first Monday Night Football showdown.

A man on a mission against his old team, Wilson is desperate to get his career with the Broncos off to a flying start after some of his former teammates on the Seahawks accused him of ‘checking-out’ midway through last season.

He even shared pictures of himself in his Dolce & Gabbana suit with a ‘003’ caption in reference to James Bond’s ‘007’ title.

The ex-North Carolina State player was the only member of his new team to get off the bus in formal attire, as other Broncos appeared in regular game day attire.

NFL fans and several sports-related Twitter accounts were divisive on Wilson’s outfit, as some chose to mock it while others praised the quarterback’s style.

Meanwhile, fans compared the star’s look to a wedding tuxedo or a cruise ship entertainer.

One posted: ‘Russell Wilson looking like the suit he brought for the trip got dropped in the mud and the only place open was the wedding rental shop.’

Another took to Twitter to write: ‘Russell Wilson arrived to the game wearing a bow tie because of course he did lol. His suit looked like something the musical entertainment on a cruise ship would wear too.’

In March, Seahawks chairman Jody Allen revealed Wilson had initiated a trade to the Broncos after the quarterback did not digest the franchise firing offensive line coach Mike Solari and offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer.

The Super Bowl XLVIII champion fired back at Allen, saying the trade was mutual. He further signed a five-year, $245milion extension in the offseason with the Broncos last week.

The Seahawks’ home opener against the Broncos started at 8.15pm ET Monday night at Lumen Field with Denver and Wilson looking for revenge.
