Ruth Langsford strips off for NAKED exercise class

We’re used to seeing a relatively conservative Ruth Langsford on Loose Women – but today viewers will see a whole new side to the presenter today.

The TV presenter, 57, goes completely naked in tonight’s episode of Do The Right Thing, which she presents with her husband Eamonn Holmes.

In the first episode of the series she tries out a nude exercise class, which claims to be a ‘more comfortable’ way of working out.

And the nude presenter admitted that she was enjoying herself.

As a shocked Eamonn voices his disapproval, Ruth says she felt ‘free and easy’ during the class.

Ruth went to a naked gym to interview people who regularly work out in the buff, who said they like it because there was no way to hide their bodies, making them less self-concious.

Ruth said ‘if you can’t beat them, join them’, before appearing completely nude, with just some exercise weights protecting her modesty.

And while initially unconvinced, Ruth quickly got into the swing of things.

She said: ‘You know what? I’m feeling quite free and easy! I like this!’

When the clip cut back to the studio, Eamonn was looking shocked and was comforted by guest star Roman Kemp.

Ruth playfully asked him if he thought her arms had toned up since the nude exerciusing.

He fired back: ‘It’s not your arms anybody’s looking at! We’ll have words when we get home.’

Ruth later said she wasn’t ready to take regular classes at the naked gym.

She said: ‘I’ll never look at an exercise bike in the same way again!

‘Although I really enjoyed hanging out with the naked fitness enthusiasts, I’m not sure I’m ready yet to let it all hang out and regularly join the class.’

The couple gave a rather surprising insight into their married life on This Morning last week when Eamonn revealed his pet names for his wife.

During a cooking segment he said: ‘I wish you’d stop saying that because that’s my pet name for Ruth. I call her my little chicken dumpling.’

A giggling Ruth looked embarrassed, while Skehan said he didn’t want to ‘know what goes on in your house’.

But Eamonn went further still, telling Donal he also refers to his wife as ‘my little turkey neck’.

It took Ruth a few moments to realise what Eamonn had said, before her giggling turned into an expression of shock.

She said: ‘What?! I’m very self-conscious now. He’s very brave at work, that’s all I say.’

Do The Right Thing with Eamonn and Ruth airs tonight at 9pm on Channel 5
