Ryan Garcia CHARGED with vandalism and could face one year behind bars after alleged meltdown at five-star LA hotel

Ryan Garcia is defiantly refusing to be imprisoned over his alleged hotel meltdown.

The suspended boxer was hit with a misdemeanor vandalism charge on Thursday after being accused of wrecking a room and a hallway at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills on June 8.

The charge carries a maximum sentence of one year in prison.

In response to the news, Garcia went on social media to declare: ‘No way I’m going to jail.’

Of course, that decision may not be left up to Garcia, who recently agreed to seek treatment at a rehab facility before allegedly harassing his frightened ex-wife in a disturbing scene captured on social media. Garcia has since apologized to his ex, saying he ‘woke up the next morning regretting everything I did.’

Garcia was taken into custody on June 8 afternoon after apparently damaging property at the hotel, including the room he was staying in and the extending hallway. It’s claimed the damage was worth $15,000.

TMZ reported that Garcia was ‘seemingly under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs’ but added that he cooperated with authorities during his arrest. The publication has video of him being arrested, where he is seen shirtless and wearing a helmet.

The 25-year-old beat Devin Haney earlier this year but his erratic conduct in the buildup led many to question if he was mentally stable enough to fight. He has since failed a doping test after his surprise victory, resulting in his year-long suspension from the New York Athletic Commission.

His victory over Haney has been vacated and replaced with a ‘no contest’ result.
