Ryan Garcia’s B sample comes back POSTIVE for Ostarine as PED scandal takes another twist after Devin Haney win as controversial boxer hits back

It was revealed on Thursday morning that boxer Ryan Garcia has had his B sample results come back positive for performance enhancing drugs.

According to boxing reporter Dan Rafael, Garcia’s B sample and A sample both tested positive for Ostarine, a banned substance, after tests were conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA).

Garcia failed anti-doping tests the day before and the day of his shocking upset victory over Devin Haney back in April.

Following the reports, Garcia tweeted multiple times, saying, ‘Let’s go we positive positive vibes brugh Yess so happy’ and following that up with ‘I F***ING LOVE STEROIDS’. 

He followed that up with ‘I don’t care I’ll never make money again with boxing your loss not mine for setting me up lol joke on yall’.

In the aftermath of his first sample coming back positive, Garcia said that the results were false and requested by letter that his B sample get tested.

Now, the result of the fight would be up to the New York State Athletic Commission to decide how to proceed – with Haney personally calling for the fight to be called a disqualification win.

DailyMail.com has reached out to the New York State Athletic Commission requesting comment. 

Garcia and his legal team must now present their case to prove his innocence, or he will face a suspension and a fine on top of the changed result of the Haney fight. 

Initial tests were believed to also contain 19-Norandrosterone, another PED, but further testing ‘did not confirm’ that drug was in Garcia’s system.

In addition to testing positive for PEDs, Garcia also came into the weigh-in before the fight 3.5 pounds over for the 140-pound title fight and wasn’t eligible to win the title.

Garcia was also accused by Haney’s attorney, Pat English, of using IV’s in the leadup to the fight. IV use is banned under World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and VADA guidelines.

English believes there’s precedent for a DQ win – pointing to Lucian Bute’s draw with Badou Jack in 2016. After Bute tested positive for ostraine, the result was changed to a DQ win for Jack.

Ostarine is a class of drug called a selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM) which attaches proteins in the body and sends signals encouraging muscle growth. Athletes use it to build muscle mass and also enhance their rate of fat loss.

Previously, Garcia maintained his innocence and said ‘everybody knows that I don’t cheat.’
