Ryan Reynolds reacts to wife Blake Lively’s film It Ends With Us dethroning Deadpool sequel at the box office

Ryan Reynolds has shared what he thinks about his wife Blake Lively’s movie It Ends With Us surpassing his Marvel film Deadpool & Wolverine at the box office.

The Hollywood Reporter noted on Thursday that the romantic drama has beat out the superhero comedy this week, after the former hit theaters on August 9.

Speaking with Sunday Today, the 47-year-old Canadian actor expressed unwavering support for his other half, 36.

‘The only time in my life I’ve ever dreamt of coming in second,’ he remarked, adding that it is ‘the sign of a good relationship.’

The father-of-four said: ‘It’s always been the constant with Blake and [me] — that we really root for each other.’

It comes after TMZ reported on Friday that Lively has no plans to publicly address the rumored feud between her and It Ends With Us co-star/director Justin Baldoni.

The actress is reportedly trying to put the tension with Baldoni, 40, behind her, with sources sharing that she is choosing to focus on her other castmates and her family.

Justin felt ‘hurt and sidelined’ by Blake — his onscreen love interest — while starring and directing the film adaption of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel, which has the same name as the feature film.

And Lively allegedly felt ‘fat-shamed’ by him on set and was uncomfortable with a kissing scene in which she believed he ‘lingered’ for longer than necessary.

From ‘day one’ insiders claim there was tension between the filmmakers.

It only escalated throughout the making of their movie, which crossed the $100 million mark at the global box office in its first week.

‘There were two camps on the film — team Blake and team Justin. This creative struggle set the tone for the negative experience behind the scenes and grew into them not speaking anymore,’ a source told Us Weekly.

The insider continued: ‘[Justin] was made to feel that his vision wasn’t as important as Blake’s, and it stifled the creativity on set.’
