Ryan Reynolds revealed that his children and wife of twelve years, Blake Lively, hold a Canadian passport.
He and the blonde beauty share daughters Betty, four, Ines, seven, and James, nine, and an unnamed one-year-old that they welcomed in February 2023.
The 47-year-old actor — who packed on the PDA with his wife at pal Taylor Swift’s concert in Madrid — told PEOPLE that they hold a dual citizenship with Canada and the United States.
‘My kids, they have Canadian passports as well, and they feel a real connection to that,’ the north of the border actor said.
‘It’s a point of pride of theirs. They’ve also spent huge amounts of their formative years in Canada and particularly Vancouver,’ he finished.

The Deadpool actor added that he filmed the first two films of the Marvel superhero franchise in Vancouver, joking: ‘I had only one child in Deadpool 1 and I had two on Deadpool 2, but hopefully we don’t do a Deadpool 8 because I don’t want eight kids.
On a more serious note, Reynolds said that his kids ‘love being from Canada.
‘They tell people they are. “Oh, I’m half Canadian, half American.”‘
In April the actor told TIME that he regularly spends time with his children, and recalled a specific moment with his eldest daughter James.
‘Last year I watched Back to the Future with my 8-year-old daughter. It’s become her favorite film,’ he said.
‘And for now, that’s enough for me — and for her. One more kid from one more generation sees what I saw,’ the actor added.
Blake and Ryan wed in 2012 after meeting on set of Green Lantern in 2010.
They became parents for the first time in December 2014 with the birth of James.
Ines was born two years later on September 30, 2016.
Blake gave birth to daughter Betty — whose name was revealed by pal Taylor Swift — just before the COVID-19 pandemic in October 2019.
In February 2023, Blake and Ryan welcomed their fourth child whose gender and name has yet to be revealed.

Ahead of the baby’s birth, Ryan gushed about how ‘excited’ they were to meet their new addition. You know, you’d have to be a moron to do this four times if you didn’t like it,’ he joked.
Around that time, a source dished to Us Weekly that the couple always planned to have a large family with lots of kids.
The source claimed that Blake and Ryan ‘felt like they were making up for lost time [from] the years they both had to put off having a family.’
After Blake gave birth, the dad-of-four jumped into filming the highly-anticipated Deadpool sequel, Deadpool & Wolverine, with co-star and longtime BFF Hugh Jackman.
‘Deadpool is a family project for them and the family will all go to wherever Ryan is shooting that one in 2023,’ a source revealed at the time of shooting.
Deadpool & Wolverine is scheduled to hit theaters in November 2024.
