Ryan Reynolds talks wife Blake Lively playing Lady Deadpool in his blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine: ‘A lot of fun’

Ryan Reynolds recently talked working with his wife Blake Lively in his record-breaking film Deadpool & Wolverine.

The longtime actor, 47, appeared on the podcast Not Skinny But Not Fat and was asked about the identity of the actor who played Lady Deadpool.

‘I’ve been sleeping with her,’ he joked in an answer which revealed his wife Blake was the one playing the mysterious new role. ‘Not saying that she’s enjoying the sleeping together part, but I’m just saying I have,’ he playfully added.

‘So you probably knew right away you were going to have her?’ Amanda asked.

‘Yeah, it was kind of one of those things where you’re like, “Well, why not?” I mean, go for it, of course. I mean, we’re all there together anyway. Let’s go nuts,’ he replied.

He shared that working with his wife of nearly 12 years ‘was a lot of fun.’

He confirmed that the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star loved the experience.

Reynolds, who shares four kids with his spouse, gushed, ‘She’s one of the funniest people I know.’

Before confirming her part in the movie, the Gossip Girl alum teased the news by arriving to the New York City premiere in a custom red Versace jumpsuit she later referred to as ‘LadyPool couture.’

When the film premiered on July 26, she opened up to her social media followers about how the character came to be.

She wrote, ‘In 2010, @robliefeld drew an unmasked Lady Deadpool for the first time. @deadpoolmovie wasn’t real. And Rob had no idea I was working with @vancityreynolds.’

Meanwhile, Blake was active on Instagram over the weekend, sharing a fun fashion moment as she plugged her forthcoming drama It Ends With Us.

The star, who just launched a haircare line, modeled a pair of patterned Chanel jeans and a coordinating short-sleeved shirt.

Engaging her 45.2 million followers, she wrote in the caption: ‘Blue jean baby. N.Y. lady. @itendswithusmovie AUG 9th.’
