But much to the delight of thrifty fashion gurus around the world, Sabo Skirt has unveiled their stunning new Sabo Luxe 18 collection with pieces starting at just $78.
The leading Australian label returned to the NYFW runway on Tuesday and opened the Fashion Palette with 16 striking looks inspired by the ‘essence of a summer vacation’ and dresses and sets drawing inspiration from ‘the dusky sunset hues of Europe’.

The collection is described as being ‘ultra-feminine’, with exclusive prints, ruffles, wraps and intricately detailed pieces all recurring themes on the catwalk.
White ruffle dresses, pale yellow minis and blush hues were also popular, along with on trend gingham dresses, pastel playsuits and tube tops.

Tie dresses and skirts were a standout also, with many of the pieces featuring twin tie details and shoulder ties.
Other notable looks included simple ivory skirts and tops embellished with gold eyelet details, backless shirts, tie playsuits and flirtatious plunging necklines.
Most of the dresses and playsuits sit in the $100 – $170 range while some skirts and tops cost just $78.
Founded by best friends and sisters-in-law, Thessy and Yiota Kouzoukas, Sabo Skirt grew from a part-time fashion blog into an online global sales empire with a cult following of over 1.6 million.

The brand is also a favourite of celebrities the world over, including the likes of Gigi Hadid, Ariana Grande and Vanessa Hudgens.
Femininity is at the core of the new Sabo Luxe collection – the collection drawing subtle influences from the 90s era.
Yiota said: ‘These is a strong presence of wrap detailing in the SS Sabo Luxe 2018 collection, which is a trend we are forecasting to dominate the market this summer.’

Thessy added: ‘We have also incorporated the colour trend of the moment: Millennial Pink and the predicted fashion colour trend of 2018: Mellow Yellow, giving a nod to the current trend while paving way for a new summer favourite for those looking to the future trends.’
