Keeping it casual on the day, she opted for a grey jumper and olive green cropped trousers while finishing off the look with a pair of Nike trainers.

Despite the cold temperatures, she donned a pair of trendy black sunglasses for the intimate walk with her daughter.

She kept her signature blonde locks soft and appeared to go without makeup for the picturesque walk.

Harriet also kept it casual on the day twinning with her famous mum wearing a padded coat.

The actress – who has played Sally Webster on Corrie since 1986 – went on to admit she’s been struggling to let go of her skate partner Matt Evers’ hand, saying ‘it’s just too terrifying’.

She said: ‘My real problem is the confidence thing. I am struggling with my confidence.

‘I’m just hoping that as this journey goes along, if I get the opportunity, I’ll find a little bit more confidence every week. I just need to get through Sunday night.’

Sally told hosts Dermot O’Leary and Josie Gibson, who was standing in for Alison Hammond, she has been going to bed dreaming of Dancing on Ice.

She said: ‘I can’t get to sleep because I’m going through all the moves and ‘am I doing it okay?’

‘I’ve just got to get through Sunday and then hopefully my confidence will build a little bit.

‘Being on a live show as well – that’s just terrifying. So, roll on Sunday night. Let’s get it over with.’

Sally is embracing the switch from ‘downbeat’ soap character to glam Dancing On Ice star – and says viewers will finally get to know the real her.

The star revealed she is loving the chance to dress up ahead of her debut but said she’s also nervous after ‘hiding behind’ her soap persona for so long.

In a new interview, Sally admitted she’s ‘never’ had the chance to be stylish playing a factory worker on the Cobbles – and she’s looking forward to the glitz and glamour of performing live on the ITV dance show each week.

She said: ‘I’ve never had the chance to dress up on Coronation Street it’s always very downbeat so it’s good fun. It is great I am really enjoying it.

‘I do really want people to get to know me because they have only known my character for so long but again it is putting yourself out there that is quite difficult for me because I have never done anything like this before. I have hidden behind the character.

‘To suddenly come out after all these years it is quite daunting, but I am hoping that I will be okay, and it will go well and then I can go back to being Sally Metcalfe in a few weeks.’

Dancing On Ice starts Sunday at 6:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub
