Sally Faulkner’s Father’s Day message for ex-husband Ali

A mother who may never see her children again has posted a Father’s Day message to her estranged husband.

Brisbane mother Sally Faulkner has not seen her two young children, Lahela, six, and Noah, four, since the failed child recovery attempt from Lebanon in April 2016.

The mother posted a heartfelt message to Facebook wishing all the ‘caring wonderful dads’ a happy Father’s Day, aiming the message at her estranged husband Ali Elamine.

‘I just wanted to take a moment to say happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there, all the great dads,’ Ms Faulkner said.

‘I also want to take a little moment just to say happy Father’s Day to Ali.

‘I hope that you are having a nice day.

‘I know you probably don’t celebrate this day on this date but in Australia we are and we do and I just wanted to let you know that despite all that has been done I do hope that you enjoy your day with our children.’

Ms Faulkner said she did not have hate in her heart for Ali as a person despite him taking the two young children for a holiday to Lebanon and refusing to bring them back to Australia.

‘I hope one day that you see what’s right and let me talk to Lahela and Noah and understand that they have rights too and I have rights as their mum,’ she said in the video.

‘But most of all just a big happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful, great, caring, loving dads out there.

‘You guys deserve it and enjoy your day.’

The mother-of-three, who also has a toddler son with Brendan Pierce, spent Father’s Day on the coast as a ‘little family’ but has not given up on her older children, sending them a kiss on the video.

‘Lahela and Noah mummy loves you,’ Ms Faulkner said.

The video was posted at about midday Sunday and after Daily Mail Australia saw the video, Ms Faulkner’s Facebook page appears to have been deleted.

The Brisbane mother has been using her Facebook page to share photos and videos of her two eldest children living in Lebanon with their father.
