Sam Armytage admits she voted yes for same sex marriage

More than nine million Australians have reportedly returned their postal ballots as the nation votes on whether marriage laws should be changed.

And on Thursday, Samantha Armytage declared she was one of the people voting in favour of same-sex marriage.

Speaking on Sunrise, the 41-year-old admitted in no uncertain terms that she had ticked the ‘yes’ box.

‘And I sent it back straight away. I feel very good about that.’

She’s not the only high-profile star who has been vocal in her support for the law change.

Model Jesinta Franklin (née Campbell), wife to AFL star Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin, has been an avid supporter of marriage equality over the years and last month proudly posed with her filled-out postal survey.

‘Equality for the win ❤️ Just posted our votes off. Our generation is the most likely to forget to vote yet we have the power to make the biggest impact,’ she wrote alongside the image.

‘Don’t be complacent, this simple act means so much to so many people and is your chance to make a difference.’
