Sam Armytage unleashed a tirade against Jetstar Airways on Thursday.

The 43-year-old Sunrise presenter slammed the budget airline on Instagram, accusing the company of overcharging her when she booked a last-minute flight to Queensland.

She also accused Jetstar of having ‘rude’ staff, and claimed there was only limited legroom available on her flight.

‘@jetstaraustralia you are the worst! Paid $700 for last minute flights to Queensland for a funeral… Then [was] charged $60 extra at gate home for same amount of carry-on as we flew up with yesterday. Go figure?!?!’ she wrote.

Sam told her followers she has no intention of using the airline ever again, and will instead fly with one of its competitors.

‘Will definitely choose @qantas or @virginaustralia next time. Every time,’ she added.

In a second Instagram post, Sam shared a photo of her legs crammed up against the back of the seat in front of her.

‘Not to mention how rude the staff are while they’re charging you extra… Leg-room shot…’ she wrote in the caption.

Sam’s complaint seemed to strike a chord with her followers, several of whom reached out to her via direct message.

One fan claimed they’d had a similar experience flying with the discount airline.

‘I00%! I flew home with them in my study break carrying literally no clothes and only my books to study for my nursing exams,’ they wrote.

‘I was 180g over and they charged me $60. I was gutted as I literally took no clothes so I could take my nursing books to study, I even tried to explain to the lady and she didn’t care. Have never flown [with] them again!’
