Sam Burgess’ pregnant girlfriend Lucy Graham cradles baby niece

Sam Burgess’ girlfriend Lucy Graham is getting ready to become a mum for the first time.

The pregnant fashion designer is expecting her first child with the retired NRL star, 34, after confirming the happy news with Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday.

Now Graham looks to be getting in some practice before welcoming her child into the world by holding her baby niece.

In a sweet photo, the stunning Brit is glowing while cradling the bub in her arms while on holiday with her sister Tori in Queenstown, New Zealand.

Earlier this week, Burgess confirmed he and his girlfriend are expecting.

‘We are so excited and happy to be starting this new chapter together… Happy days,’ he said in a statement.

Lucy, who hails from the UK, recently made the decision to move Down Under permanently and it’s believed her pregnancy was the reason.

Burgess is already a doting father to his two children Poppy, four, and son Billy, three, with his ex-wife Phoebe Burgess (née Hooke), and while he isn’t able to see them as much as he’d like, he provides for them unconditionally.

Friends say they are ‘beyond excited’ Sam is starting a new chapter with Lucy by his side.

‘He’s mad about Lucy. It’s been a whirlwind but she is a fantastic woman. They get along so well. All of his friends are so thrilled to see how happy he makes her,’ a close friend said.

‘The Burgesses are very family oriented and I think there was always a plan to start a family. From what I hear, she is genuinely good for him. When they’re together apparently they laugh all the time – she cracks him up.’

Burgess, who was born in West Yorkshire, England, has known Lucy for about 20 years.
