Sam DeRosa MARRIES beau Shane Carlyle! Singer ties the knot with partner of 9 years in romantic Massachusetts outdoor ceremony

Sam DeRosa has married her longtime beau Shane Carlyle in a romantic outdoor ceremony in Massachusetts.

The singer-songwriter, who has penned hits for Fitz and the Tantrums and Dixie D’Amelio, wed partner of nine years Shane on Saturday, September 23 at The Villa at Ridder Country Club in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, reports People.

The couple – who wanted a ‘garden romance theme’ for their nuptials and for the ceremony to take place between Carlyle’s parents in Scituate, Massachusetts, and Boston – kicked off their wedding weekend with a cocktail party on Friday night held at The Drift Inn bar and restaurant, which is owned by Carlyle’s dad.

They tied the knot the following day – with DeRosa wearing a stunning lace and beaded 1406 dress by Martina Liana.

Her younger brother Joe officiated the ceremony, with the couple writing their own vows and surrounded by gold decor and ‘floating’ candles.

DeRosa said: ‘I think handwritten vows really elevate a wedding ceremony. Plus, I’m a full time singer songwriter and my fiancé is certainly not, so I didn’t think he would be interested, but he was excited to write his own vows. I’m ready to be surprised and will absolutely cry!’

A string quartet performed  at the wedding, with Carlyle walking down the aisle to Blink-182 hit First Date while DeRosa walked to Shania Twain’s You’re Still The One.

The couple’s first dance was to their ‘absolute fave’ Bryan Adams track (Everything I Do) I Do It for You.

Celebrity guests in attendance included singer/songwriter Wrabel along with country artist Kylie Morgan.

Guests enjoyed charcuterie and hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour before a lavish two course dinner.

Dessert was a three tier, gluten-free, funfetti wedding cake with a dessert station of cake pops, brownies, cookies and gluten free cannolis.

Snacks of grilled cheese, fries and cheeseburger sliders were also served.

A final celebration on Sunday was a backyard brunch with an ice cream and pizza truck, lawn games and football.

The couple first met in Boston when DeRosa sang at a bar where Carlyle was bartending.

Carlyle later moved to LA with the singer so she could pursue her singing career.

He proposed on December 20, 2021 in New York City on the Monarch Rooftop, under the Empire State Building.

DeRosa said: ‘Once we got to the rooftop, there were candles and rose petals and lights everywhere and he asked me to marry him. The real surprise was that, once I said yes, both of our families jumped out and surprised us.

‘It was a surprise, private engagement party with just our families. We both live in LA now, so having both of our families in one place was magical.’

The newlyweds will now enjoy a 10 day honeymoon in Greece exploring Athens and the country’s islands.
