The TV star has been enjoying a quieter life in the countryside since quitting Channel Seven’s Sunrise in March 2021.

Last year, Sam returned to screens as host of Seven’s reality series Farmer Wants a Wife, replacing long-serving presenter Natalie Gruzlewski.

Sam tied the knot with Richard Lavender., a successful equestrian businessman, at his 40-hectare property in Bowral on New Year’s Eve in 2020.

It was an intimate ceremony with a ‘small number of guests’ due to Covid restrictions, with Richard’s daughters Sasha and Grace and her beloved dog Banjo believed to be in attendance.

The journalist met her husband at socialite Skye Leckie’s 60th birthday party in April 2019, and she said there was an instant connection.

She previously told Stellar: ‘I think we make a good match. I was very lucky to find him at that point in my life.’

Richard is a stakeholder of Lavender Equestrian, which offers a variety of services for horses in the region, including breeding and training.

According to property records, his 40-hectare farm in Berrima cost $1.95million when he bought it in 2007.
