Samantha X offers Sophie Monk a shoulder to cry on

If there’s anyone who knows about public heartbreak it’s Samantha X.

The former elite escort this week revealed her whirlwind romance with Seven News presenter Ryan Phelan was over after just a few months.

And now she’s reached out to former Bachelorette Sophie Monk in the wake of her own split with the show’s winner Stu Laundy.

‘It’s OK not to be OK’: Samantha X has offered Sophie Monk support amid her split with Stu Laundy just DAYS after announcing she and boyfriend Ryan Phelan are over

Samantha (real name Amanda Geoff) reposted Sophie’s confirmation message to her own Instagram account praising the 38-year-old for her authenticity.

‘When a relationship is public, so is the hurt. To any man or woman going through heartbreak, stay true, stay strong & it’s OK not to be OK,’ she wrote.

‘You don’t need to be strong all the time. A new puppy helps, so do girlfriends and wine. And this too shall pass. Thinking of you @ @sophiemonk.’

Samantha was referencing her own very public break-up with Ryan, which played out on her social media account during the pair’s intense three month relationship.

‘I gave it the best shot I could and my intentions were everything I said I was looking for but unfortunately it just didn’t work out,’ she wrote.

While Sophie didn’t mention Stu by name at all in the lengthy post, she explained she felt she ‘owed’ Australia an answer because their relationship had played out in front of the nation’s eyes.

‘Because I entered this relationship so publicly I know I owe an answer to Australia about my personal life,’ she wrote.
