- Spurs and Juve will go head-to-head on Tuesday in the Champions League last 16
Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira has described Tottenham star Harry Kane as the ‘most complete striker’ ahead of their clash in the Champions League last 16.
Kane has been in fine form in Europe so far this season, hitting six goals in five games, and he will be keen to add to his tally in Tuesday’s first leg in Turin.
The 24-year-old, who has also netted 22 times in 25 Premier League outings this term, is even better than Juve frontman Gonzalo Higuain and Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski, according to Khedira.
Tottenham frontman Harry Kane, 24, is the ‘most complete striker’ according to Sami Khedira
Juventus midfielder Khedira said: ‘He is strong, good with his head, fast, good with his feet’
Khedira also mentioned Juventus team-mate Gonzalo Higuain but suggested Kane is superior
‘Harry Kane for me is maybe the most complete striker, actually,’ Khedira told BBC Sport.
‘There is also Robert Lewandowski and Higuain too, but he is strong, good with his head, fast, good with his feet, can score with one touch, he can dribble…
‘For me he’s an amazing player and still young, so Tottenham are lucky to have him.’
Spurs, who must first negotiate a north London derby with Arsenal at Wembley on Saturday, are seen as marginal underdogs to progress against Juve.
Italian giants Juve have won six consecutive Serie A titles but are currently second in the table, one point behind Napoli, after winning 19 of their first 23 matches.
Gonzalo Higuain has contributed 13 of Juve’s 59 league goals this term and will likely be the biggest threat to Tottenham in the first leg as leading scorer Paulo Dybala — who has 14 Serie A strikes to his name — has still yet to return from a hamstring injury picked up five weeks ago.
Twenty-nine-year-old Bayern Munich hitman Robert Lewandowski was given a mention too
Kane, who will face Juve next week, has hit six goals in five Champions League games this term
