Connie Johnson tragically passed away last Friday at the age of 40, after a prolonged battle with breast and liver cancer.
The mother-of-two died after entering hospice earlier in the year, with her brother Samuel Johnson confirming the news through the pair’s Love Your Sister page.
And on Monday, the actor invited mourners to farewell his sister, posting a picture of the church with the message: ‘Connie Cottonsock’s village service will be in Melbourne on the 23rd. Just wanted to give a heads up to any interstate villagers planning to attend.’

Last week, Samuel posted a heartfelt message to fans, writing that she ‘went so richly, and with such grace’.
‘We lost Connie today. Or, as she asked me to say, she died of cancer today. It was so beautiful,’ he said.
‘We laughed, we cried, we sang stupid songs from our childhood to her, which she loved (mostly!). I read her so many village messages, which she relished.

‘Trust me, she was genuinely cushioned by your love, till the end.’
The Logie winner wrote that while he was sad to inform others of her death, he felt grateful and proud to be able to uphold her legacy.
‘I’m off to cuddle the fam and warmly embrace an exquisite whisky, in memory of my sister, who did so bloody well, from start to finish,’ he wrote.

Samuel also said he had set up a tribute wall to his sister, where people could post messages to Ms Johnson and her family.
‘Thank you for your kind words for my sister, my family will cherish this wall,’ the actor wrote on the site, titled Love For Connie.
‘Please excuse my frankness at this time, but I’m compelled by Connie’s wishes. She wanted me to to remind you that words don’t weigh as much as money for research…
‘And as much as we hate it, cash is what our scientists need to keep our families healthy.
‘Cancer must be vanquished and I’m asking for your help on behalf of my sister. No amount is too small.’
