Sandra Bullock, 59, and Nicole Kidman, 56, are reuniting for the sequel to Practical Magic… 26 years after the original was released

Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock will be brewing up a new adventure in Practical Magic 2. 

The sequel to the 1998 cult classic, which was ‘cursed’ by a witch consultant, will finally make it to the big screen. 

Warner Bros. announced the news Monday, using film clips of Bullock, 59, and Kidman, 56, on social media.

The original film was based on the 1995 Alice Hoffman novel by the same title. 

The story follows two orphaned sisters, Sally (Bullock) and Gillian Owens (Kidman), who come from a long line of witches. 

The girls were brought up by their eccentric aunts, played by Stockard Channing and  Dianne Wiest, who embrace their magical history.

 But the gift comes with a curse.

Any man who falls in love with an Owens woman is doomed to die an untimely death.

Bullock’s Sally tried to distance herself from the magical heritage until the death of her husband.

Kidman’s Gillian embraces her powers and tries to live life to the fullest.

Trouble comes when Jimmy Angelov (Goran Visnjic) enters Gillian’s life and turns out to be a dangerous man.

The sisters accidentally kill the villain and unleash a series of supernatural events as they endeavor to break the family curse. 

 Akiva Goldsman, who co-wrote the 1998 script, has signed on to pen the sequel, according to Deadline. 

Bullock, 59, and Kidman, 56, will reprise their roles as Sally and Gillian Owens, sisters who come from a family with a long magical history. Both will serve as producers on the project
