This is the moment that Santa rescued a woman struggling to pick herself up off of the ice.

A pedestrian slipped on the frosty pavement in Watford, Hertfordshire and takes a painful fall flat on her back, sending her bags flying as she does so.

But the car in front skids to a halt next to the woman, and Father Christmas launches into action.

He immediately leaps out of the car and braves the dangerously icy conditions himself.

Dave Cordoza captured the lovely scene on his car’s dash cam outside Tesco’s in Watford, and uploaded it to YouTube earlier today.

The icy conditions were remnants of this Sunday’s ‘snow bomb’, where in the snowiest parts of the UK 13 inches of snow were recorded.

Last night was the coldest night of the year, and temperatures depleted to -13C, which was colder than Moscow.

The unnamed Santa picked up the lady’s bags and even put her hat back on her head as the woman recovered from her fall.
