In 2012, Sarah had a kidney transplant with her father Edward as her donor, and shortly thereafter went public in Seventeen with the fact she has kidney dysplasia.

The Wedding Year is a comedy – a familiar genre for Robert, whose previous directorial efforts include Legally Blonde and Monster-In-Law.
Written by Community veteran Donald Diego, the film follows Sarah’s character Maya over a year when she and her beau are asked to 15 weddings.
Maya’s man is eager for a long-term commitment, while she is dubious about marrying, per The Hollywood Reporter, so all these weddings raise a sticky issue.
Along with Sarah and Tyler, the cast includes such names as Wanda Sykes, Jenna Dewan, Anna Camp and Keith David, according to IMDb.
