Sarah Jessica Parker and Jon Tenney film night scene of SATC reboot And Just Like That…

Sarah Jessica Parker looked in high spirits as she filmed the Sex And The City revival And Just Like That… alongside her new on-screen love interest Jon Tenney.

The 56-year-old was back in character as Carrie Bradshaw for the scenes in New York on Wednesday night, while Jon’s new role has yet to be announced.

The pair sent SATC fans into a spin last week when they were seen filming kissing scenes, suggesting Carrie has finally moved on from Mr. Big (played by Chris Noth).

The latest scenes will have done nothing to squash the rumours, as the duo reunited while dressed to the nines out in upper Manhattan.

Sarah lived up to Carrie’s typical fashion-conscious image by sliding her trim frame into a figure-hugging white cocktail dress with black fringe.

Drawing attention to her character’s famed love of extravagant shoes, she added a pop of color to the ensemble with a shocking pair of hot pink heels with black bows.

Meanwhile Jon was classically glamorous in a navy suit as he and Sarah Jessica filmed a conversation on the staircase.

The dynamic duo set off a storm of publicity earlier this month when they were spotted filming a kiss scene in New York.

Their sighting set off a furious cycle of conjecture that the new show will see Carrie breakup with her longtime love interest Mr. Big.

After spending the series in an on-and-off romance Carrie and Big finally got married in the first Sex And The City film and remained so for the sequel.

But for months there have been rumors that And Just Like That… would show the marriage on the rocks – and some fans took the kiss with Jon as confirmation.

Over the summer some pages of the script leaked to Page Six in which Carrie is seen commiserating with friends over the state of her relationship with Big.

‘I was taping the podcast, I was washing my hair. Yes, I wasn’t eating or sleeping, but at least I felt good about my marriage. Now I’m just one of the wives he was taking care of?’ Carrie says exasperatedly to her pals.

One of them was her closest gay friend Stanford Blatch – played by Willie Garson who tragically succumbed to pancreatic cancer last month at the age of just 57.

Taking to Twitter after the kissing scenes emerged, fans tweeted: ‘I swear if Carrie and Mr Big break up, its all over. We have not stayed invested in this show and movies to see them together to only break up just to have a storyline..! Come on! Weve supported this relationship for 20 years!!,’

‘Seriously, if something has happened to him and these are flash backs this will be the worst reboot ever,’ one user wrote.

‘This is one of the reasons I’m not watching,’ another follower commented. ‘John did not sign up for the new show which means that they will probably break them up. I didn’t spend all those years waiting for them to be married just to see them break up. It’s a pass for me.’

‘Is this reboot bound to break out hearts again smash it like what big used to do in the series and then give us this ending that makes us question everything and then ask for another closure…. Oh please give us some happy note about tue reboot!’

Chris himself has confessed to Yahoo! Finance Live that he was ‘hesitant’ to return to the role of Mr. Big until executive producer Michael Patrick King coaxed him back.

‘It was a little bit of a sort of creative negotiation because I didn’t really feel I had anything to offer in that role again. It kind of felt like I had done it,’ he said.

‘But Michael Patrick King is just an incredible writer and has incredible creative ideas. And once we got together and talked about the potential of what we could do with the character, I was all in,’ said the heartthrob.
