SAS Australia: Erin Holland reveals terrifying home invasion while her husband Ben Cutting was away

Cricket WAG Erin Holland bursts into tears on SAS Australia as she recalls the terrifying moment three men broke into her home in the middle of the night when her husband Ben Cutting was away

Erin Holland burst into tears as she revisited a nightmare memory on Tuesday night’s episode of SAS Australia.

The model and cricket WAG, who married Ben Cutting in February, revealed that last year she had been the victim of a home invasion while her husband was away.

Erin, 32, told the directing staff (DS) that three men had broken in while she was alone and asleep in the upstairs bedroom, saying she ‘felt so vulnerable’ as she was in a heavy slumber after taking sleep medication earlier in the evening.

‘I got broken into by three guys, on Boxing Day morning at 4am while I was asleep upstairs,’ she said. ‘I never ever take any anxiety meds or sleep aids or anything like that, but I did that night.’

Luckily, the perpetrators didn’t come into the bedroom where she slept – with Erin saying she didn’t even realise what had happened until watching CCTV footage the following day.

‘It almost made me feel worse,’ she told the camera. ‘That I was so completely unaware, so there wouldn’t have been any chance to protect myself or do anything to help myself in that situation.’

She added to the DS: ‘I thought I was really independent and really confident. And then… the way that I responded to that moment really shocked me.

‘I already feel vulnerable sometimes because of my size and the way that I present myself.

‘But to know that I made myself extra vulnerable being knocked out, asleep upstairs by myself…’

Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox was quick to chime in on her confession, urging her to be more ‘proactive’ with her thoughts and not to feel sorry for herself.

‘Those blokes breaking in – it’s not your fault. It’s done. You can keep getting upset about it, but then at some point you’ve got to f**king mug it off,’ he said.

Meanwhile, Erin also teared up when speaking about her husband, Ben.

She revealed how heartbroken she was to have been separated from the Aussie cricketer ‘for the better part of six months’ due to the pandemic in 2020.

She also shared her heartache that she was ‘locked out of Queensland’, and was unable to attend the funeral of her aunt – who she says was her ‘closest family member other than my parents’.

Erin and Ben finally tied the knot on February 13 in Byron Bay, after rescheduling their wedding twice due to the coronavirus pandemic.
