‘Hey all. I was going to wait to post but Deadline beat me to it. Unfortunately, I was not asked back to SNL,’ Troast began.

‘I wish I was going to be back with all the amazing friends I made there, it truly felt like home. But it wasn’t in the cards,’ she added.

‘I wanna thank everyone who supported me. Especially everyone who came to see my tour this summer, wore costumes from characters and had wonderful things to say,’ she added.

‘You mean everything to me. I hope I was able to spread joy and laughter, all love. Onwards and upwards,’ she concluded.

Both Johnson and Kearney announced their departures from the show in August, and the show confirmed SNL alum Maya Rudolph will return to portray Kamala Harris, at least until the Presidential Election in November.
