Scarlett Johansson has sold her penthouse in New York City for $1.87 million … at a LOSS from the $2.1 million she paid for it in 2008
Scarlett Johansson has sold her two-bedroom, two-bathroom penthouse in New York City at a loss from what she paid for it 14 years ago.
The Academy Award-nominated actress, 37, received $1.87 million for the luxe abode, which is $230,000 less than the $2.1 million she paid for the property in 2008, according to the New York Post.
The Black Widow star had the property, which is in the Sutton Place neighborhood of Manhattan, on the market for almost two years.

The New York City native finalized the real estate sale on the East Coast property on March 11, according to the outlet.
Johansson, who is worth an estimated $165 million, also poured money into renovating and updating the property, according to the paper.
Johansson initially put the home on the market in July of 2020 for $2.5 million, then reduced her asking price to $1.89 five months later.
She also had looked to rent out the home at a price of $6,500 monthly, the outlet reported.

The luxe abode includes a view of the East River, including a terrace that boasts magnificent views of the New York City skyline, and area for al fresco dining enclosed by lush shrubbery.
The home includes hardwood floors along with sliding windows that extend from the floors to ceiling.
The kitchen in the home includes countertops made of white marble with stainless steel appliances.
The master suite of the home features a spacious walk-in closet.
The building the penthouse is in includes a parking garage with a laundry room and a doorman on duty at all times.
The home had been listed by Douglas Elliman’s Noble Black.
Johansson’s spouse, Saturday Night Live personality Colin Jost, 39, is also active on the real estate market, as he listed for sale a duplex in New York City’s West Village last October.
Johansson and Jost welcomed their first child, son Cosmo, last August. The actress is also mother to daughter Rose Dauriac, seven, with ex-husband Romain Dauriac, 40.
