School girl who looks bored meeting Melania Trump goes viral

A little girl who was less than impressed about meeting Melania Trump during a visit to the White House has become an internet sensation.

On Tuesday, 30 sixth grade students from Digital Pioneers Academy, a Washington DC charter school, joined Trump and Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos in the White House Family Theater.

The First Lady presented the 2017 film Wonder, about a boy with Treacher Collins syndrome, a condition that causes facial deformities.

‘The movie celebrates October’s National Bullying Prevention Month by highlighting the importance of choosing kindness — a core belief of Mrs. Trump’s Be Best campaign,” a spokesperson for Trump told the Hill.

In a viral image from the event, which Melania’s office tweeted, a little girl stands out from the crowd because of her indifferent expression.

She hangs back from the group, crossing her arms defiantly with a bored expression on her face.

A tweet posted on Flotus’ account read: ‘Thank you to the students & teachers from @DPApcs who joined me & @BetsyDeVosED to watch the movie #Wonder in the @WhiteHouse theater today. What a wonderful message! #BeBest #BullyingPreventionMonth #ChooseKind.’

However the girl’s expression garnered plenty of reaction on Twitter, with posting a series of hilarious comments and memes.

The girl, who may or may not have intended to come across as nonchalant as she did, has become a viral hit following her brazen move.

‘This little girl with her arms folded is all of our spirit animals… lol,’ wrote New York Times columnist Charles Blow on Instagram .

He hashtagged the post #IReallyDontCareDoYou” in reference to Trump’s famous Zara jacket.

The First Lady was widely criticized in June for wearing a jacket with the slogan ‘I really don’t care, do u’ as she flew Thursday to visit children separated from their families at the Mexico border.

Her surprise visit to a children’s shelter – where a handful of the 55 children it houses had been taken from their parents – was intended to underline her compassion for children, and came after she lobbied Trump to end separations.

Instead it was overshadowed by the former model’s choice of jacket – which she wore as she walked to the Oval Office to see her husband .

‘The little girl in the middle with her arms crossed is going to grow up and achieve great things,’ commented film producer Tariq Nasheed.
