School superintendent accused of pooping demands to see CCTV

A school superintendent accused of repeatedly pooping near a New Jersey high school running track has demanded to see the full surveillance footage of him being caught in the act.

Thomas Tramaglini, 42, was arrested back in April after police say he was caught on video leaving piles of his own feces next to the track at Holmdel High School.

Tramaglini appeared before a municipal court judge on Tuesday but offered no explanation for his behavior.

His attorneys told the judge they had only been shown part of the surveillance video used to arrest him as they demanded that prosecutors hand over the entire footage.

The prosecutor told the court he had given Tramaglini’s team the narrative report from police, an evidence property report and two discs featuring the video and police dispatch audio.

The judge told attorneys for both sides to address the issue and return for a hearing at a later date.

Dressed in a gray suit and blue tie, Tramaglini remained silent throughout his brief court appearance.

Tramaglini and his attorneys didn’t comment as they left the courthouse.

Authorities say surveillance video caught Tramaglini in the act in late April following an early-morning run at Holmdel High School’s athletic facilities.

Staff members were on the look out for the person after track team coaches reported finding human feces on or near the field on a daily basis.

Tramaglini was charged with public defecation, lewdness and littering.

It is not clear why he defecated regularly on the field as there were four porta-potties nearby. One is located in the school parking lot and another near the track.
