A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after allegedly using a taser on a man in his 20s while trying to steal his backpack at a bus stop.
Up to six security guards were seen boarding a bus at Monash University’s Clayton Campus on Friday afternoon.
The guards were led by the victim, who is believed to be an international student.
‘I heard him say that these are the two people who tasered someone trying to steal a bag,’ a witness told the Moreland Leader.
‘I didn’t hear any response from the two blokes accused but they walked off the bus without a fuss.’

Another witness, Ingrid Song, said the victim did not seem too upset by the incident, but appeared to be struggling with his English.
‘An older man, who looked like staff or something, made a grabbing or jabbing kind of motion and was confirming with the student that someone had done that to him,’ she said.
A spokeswoman for Victoria Police told Daily Mail Australia officers had arrested a 14-year-old Epping boy in relation to the incident, and that his alleged victim had been taken to hospital.
‘The 14-year-old boy has since been released pending summons,’ she said.
‘He is expected to be charged with weapon and assault related offences.’
