The mother of a 15-year-old schoolgirl has issued a desperate plea after her daughter vanished from school, telling her parents she was staying at a friend’s house.
Danielle, 15, was dropped off at Capalaba State College, in Brisbane’s south, at 8.30am on Monday but was not at the school when her mother arrived to pick her up at the end of the day.
Her mother heard nothing until she received a text message from an unknown telephone number saying: ‘Hey it’s Danielle, I’m okay, I’m staying at a girls from schools house tonight, I love you [sic]’.

Danielle’s mother said she immediately called the number but there was no answer.
‘I instantly got worried as Danielle always calls or replies to me,’ her mother said.
‘She doesn’t have her phone, we have it.’
She has heard nothing from her daughter since.
Danielle’s mother said she phoned every one of her daughter’s friends to check if she was with them but when there were no leads she started ‘freaking out’.
A missing person’s report was filed at 9pm.
Queensland police issued a statement on Tuesday appealing for public assistance to help locate the 15-year-old.

The girl was last seen wearing a light blue blouse, navy skirt and black shoes.
Her family said her disappearance was out of character.
Her mother issued a desperate plea for help on Tuesday saying: ‘Please someone has to know something’.
‘If she is actually with a girl from school, why the f*** aren’t you saying anything?’ she said.
‘Or if anyone has seen her please let me know!’
Since the post was uploaded at 10am on Tuesday, it has attracted a huge amount of attention.
