The crowd cheered on as the two lovebirds then locked lips for a long kiss, before he set her down and they both walked off the green together grinning from ear to ear.

Meredith donned a floral sundress for the final day off the competition, while he wore a black and white striped shirt and black trousers.

‘Seeing how happy Scottie Scheffler and his wife Meredith are on the walk to the clubhouse after winning The Masters is priceless,’ said someone else.

A fourth user gushed: ‘OK, Scottie and Meredith are the cutest things I’ve ever seen.’

‘If it’s not a love like Scottie and Meredith, I DON’T WANT IT,’ joked someone else.

While speaking to Golf.com after his win, Scottie revealed that Meredith gave him some much needed reminders before the day commenced.

He admitted that Meredith told him that she was ‘still going to love him’ and that he would ‘still be the same person,’ even if he lost.

‘It all goes back to my faith,’ he explained. ‘The reason why I play golf is that I’m trying to glorify God and all that he’s done in my life.

‘So for me, my identity isn’t a golf score. Like Meredith told me this morning, if you win this golf tournament today, if you lose this golf tournament by 10 shots, if you never win another golf tournament again she goes, “I’m still going to love you, you’re still going to be the same person.”’

Scottie – who is currently ranked the number one golfer in the world – was born in Montvale, New Jersey, on June 21, 1996, where he lived until the age of six.

He then moved to Dallas, Texas. For high school, he attended Highland Park Highschool – which is where he met his future-wife.

He played golf at the University of Texas from 2014 to 2018, where he helped his team win three Big 12 championships and was awarded with the Phil Mickelson Freshman of the Year award in 2015.

He played in his first U.S. Open in 2016, but was eliminated in the second round. He then participated in the U.S. Open again in 2017, and finished with a low amateur title at one-under-par.

The two have kept their romance pretty low-key other than that – with Scottie hardly ever sharing any pics with his wife to social media, and her accounts set to private. However, she is often spotted at his matches supporting him.

In fact, when the Masters first kicked off last week, she was photographed by his side on the green, while helping him clean his clubs.
