Search and rescue vessels look for missing teen at beach

  • A teenage boy is missing off a popular beach in Port Macquarie on Saturday
  • The boy is believed to be 14 years old and was swimming with two other friends
  • His friends have been rescued but a marine search is underway for the teenager 

A marine search is under way for a teenage boy missing in waters off Port Macquarie on NSW’s mid north coast.

The alarm was raised about 3.40pm on Sunday at Flynns Beach.

The boy is believed to be 14 years old and was swimming with two other friends, who have since been rescued. 

Several Marine Rescue NSW vessels are helping in the search and surf life savers are also using a drone to scan the water from above.
