She candidly shared that it got to the point that she felt like she was going to ‘throw up after every meal.’

‘Doctors do not know what’s going on and it takes so long to figure out,’ she said.

‘After I found out about these food allergies my lifestyle had to change. I didn’t have a choice, I needed to change my diet.’

And instead of getting annoyed or upset about all the foods she could no longer eat, she said she just ‘went with it’ and incorporated some healthy practices into her everyday routine to help her achieve her overhaul her health.

Drinking more water

Adrienne starts off every day with a glass of cold water instead of a coffee because she shared caffeine doesn’t suit her.

Explaining that she used to ‘hate water’, Adrienne also revealed that to help her drink more water, she carries a water bottle with her at all time.

‘An easy solution for this is getting a cute water bottle that I like and if I carry it around all day or have it close to me at times, I drink without thinking,’ she shared.

Group workout classes

Moving onto her second healthy habit, Adrienne explained that as a teenager she used to love team sports but as an adult, struggled to find a similar ‘fun’ workout.

‘I’m just too tired at the end of the day to go to the gym, so the thing that saved me were workout classes. I find them very beneficial because if you sign up for a class, there’s only a window of time before you can cancel the class and if you don’t show up you get charged a fee.’

Adrienne also shared how she set herself monthly fitness goals instead of stressing about weekly goals. That means that if she had a busy week, she can make up the time and still hit her target.

Looking after her mental health

‘Basically my mom told me about this book called The Five Things You Cannot Change’ but it honestly blew my mind.

Revealing each step, Adrienne explained how the book focuses on how everything changes and comes to an end, things don’t always go to plan, life is not always fair, pain is a part of life and people are not always loving and loyal.

She shared that learning to accept these five things has allowed to have a more positive outlook on life.

She also likes journaling for give minutes every night and writes down what she is grateful for.

Refreshing her wardrobe

‘I’ve always been someone very prone to going with fashion trends, and although I never felt confident or comfortable in it, I went with it,’ Adrienne said of her previous habit of buying clothes she didn’t really like.

Sharing that she’s ‘never, ever doing that again’, Adrienne explained that she is now only keeping things in her wardrobe that make her feel good and confident when she’s wearing them.

Snack attack: Going dairy free and preparing bags of chopped up frozen fruit to make smoothies on the go have also helped Adrienne lose weight

Eliminating dairy and wheat

Starting off by saying not everyone should give up either food group, Adrienne explained that removing both gluten and dairy from her diet made a big impact on her health.

‘Not eating dairy has cleared up my skin one thousand per cent, and a lot of my weight loss has come from eliminating gluten and wheat. I always felt like bread and pasta gave me extra love handles and make me feel super bloated in the stomach,’ she explained.

However she shared that cutting gluten is not the same as cutting carbs and revealed she still enjoys things like rice and quinoa.

Healthy snack options

‘I personally hate cooking which means I equally hate meal prep,’ Adrienne told the camera, so something that works for her is having ready-to-blend smoothie mixes in her freezer.

‘Basically I just buy a ton of fruit and chop it up and stick them in little plastic bags so that when I want a smoothie, I just take out the plastic bag, dump it in the blender, add some almond milk and you’re good to go,’ she explained.

Kicking bad habits

Explainigng that she’s not a ‘morning person’, Adrienne shared that she’s been ‘experimenting’ with forcing herself to wake up at 6am and get out of bed for 30 days straight.

‘A lot of it has to do with self control and discipline. I want to show myself that I can have the discipline to do something for 30 days straight whether I want to or not.’

Eliminating toxic people

‘Fighting with people is not fun, being negative is not good for you,’ she suggested.

‘Seriously why not cut out all the toxic people in your life who are not worthy of you’.

Sleeping eight hours per night

While she might be setting her alarm clock extra early, Adrienne explained that she is still conscious of getting at least eight hours of sleep per day.

‘Sleeping eight hours a night is so important for your overall health so something I’ve been doing more is sleeping more and I’m so happy,’ she concluded.
