‘He was laughing!’ Secret recordings revealed in court: Kyle Sandilands watched on as his mate John Ibrahim ordered a beautician to wax off underlings’ EYEBROWS as punishment for theft
It’s the story that has kept readers puzzled for years: two mysterious sets of eyebrows were found during a police raid at Kings Cross identity John Ibrahim’s Eastern Suburb mansion on 8th August 2017.
And now the story behind the bizarre discovery has finally come to light, thanks to a series of covert police recordings tendered to a NSW court this week.
As revealed by The Daily Telegraph on Sunday, the eyebrows belonged to two of Mr Ibrahim’s underlings Ryan Watsford and Jaron Chester.

On 2nd August 2017, Mr Ibrahim had ordered the waxing as punishment for Watsford and Chester- who according to the recordings had allegedly stolen money from him.
‘He had a plan to frame them and keep them as trophies’, The Daily Telegraph reported.
Meanwhile, according to the recordings, KIIS FM shock-jock Kyle Sandilands showed up to a beauty salon ‘for a laugh’ as Mr Watsford had his eyebrows waxed by Sydney beautician Bridgette Lee.

Kyle is a long-time pal of Mr Ibrahim and is often spotted at the nightclub king’s cliff-top Dover Heights mansion.
Kyle’s reaction to the waxing is described in a phone call tendered to the court between Mr Chester and John’s long time financial controller Margaret Staltaro.
During the call, which took place in August 2017, Ms Staltaro said: [‘I can’t believe [John] brought Kyle with him. He’s a f**king idiot. I don’t even find it funny … I don’t think Kyle would find something like that funny.’

However, Chester corrected her: ‘He was laughing.’
Interestingly, just days after the salon incident, Kyle debuted a pair of distinctively sculpted eyebrows during a live appearance on The Morning Show on 10th August 2017.
The radio star’s brows were noticeably thinner than his usual bushy look on the show, and with the new information of his trip to the salon, it’s possible he decided to go under the wax himself.

The revelation comes almost a year after a list of bizarre items found inside John Ibrahim’s mansion were made public by The Daily Telegraph.
The hair follicles were found on the lounge on a shelf between a computer desk and the fireplace, officers told News Corp.
At the time. the former Kings Cross night club identity told the publication he had ‘no comment’ when asked what the eyebrows were for.
