WHAT TO TRY: Women often neglect the upper body — try the dumbbell floor press to target your chest, upper back and triceps in one go.
Lie with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
Hold a dumbbell (or bottle of water or tin of beans) in each hand and extend your arms away from your body, as if reaching towards each wall.
Bend your elbows so the dumbbells are raised, then straighten your arms out and up in front of you, pushing the dumbbells skyward.
Bend at elbows to lower the weights until your triceps touch the floor.
Repeat ten times, for two sets, several times a week.
