Vision has emerged of a bloodied Wests Tigers supporter being escorted from McDonald Jones Stadium on Sunday during the merger club’s NRL win over the Newcastle Knights.

While the Tigers smashed the Knights 20-4 in a lop-sided contest, one of their fans was left bleeding profusely from the face after allegedly being attacked by a Newcastle fan. 

The vision showed the man unsteady on his feet being escorted from the stadium by NSW Police, blood streaming from his head. 

NSW Police told Daily Mail Australia that four fans were removed from the stadium following an incident in the stands and given move-on orders.

The fans did not want to press charges against each other, so no further police action was taken.

The incident comes in the wake of recent violent clashes between fans at other NRL matches.

Four people were removed from the stadium by NSW Police but none pressed charges over the alleged incident in the stands

On April 6, six spectators – including three women – were charged following a brawl outside Accor Stadium after the Bulldogs defeated Newcastle on April 18.

Two of the men involved, both aged 21, were arrested on Friday at Bankstown in Sydney’s south-west.

They were taken to Bankstown Police Station and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company and affray.

According to NSW Police, ‘It follows two members of the public being allegedly assaulted at Sydney Olympic Park – with one woman, 21, knocked unconscious at the scene before she was taken to hospital to assess her injuries.’

The man accompanying her, also 21, was not seriously injured.

The two men arrested were refused bail and were scheduled to appear in Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.

Meanwhile, NSW Police have spoken to and released five teenage boys who were involved in a brawl between Sydney Roosters and South Sydney Rabbitohs fans at Accor Stadium on April 4.

NSW Police issued a statement on Thursday confirming officers and security were called to the scene at around 9.40pm on Friday, April 4.

The alleged incident follows several instances of violence in the stands at NRL matches this month

‘Officers were told two groups of people were involved in the brawl,’ the statement said.

The investigation was taken up by Auburn Police Area Command.

As part of the inquiry, police spoke with five teenage boys on April 9 at Auburn Police Station.

The group included boys aged 15, 17, and three aged 16.

All five were dealt with under the Young Offenders Act and released.

Police confirmed that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
