Sephora reveals the location for its first ever UK store set to open in London in March

Sephora has now revealed the location of its first UK store – set to open in March 2023.

Excited shoppers will be happy to learn that the flagship beauty giant branch will open shop in Westfield mall, at London’s White City location.

The outlet is considered one of Europe’s largest shopping and leisure destinations, and the beauty-junkie favoured store promises ‘an exceptional assortment of products and personal services’.

The store will also offer 135 brands, and bring together ‘an attentive combination of human touch and technology’ with a Grand Beauty Hub.

‘We are delighted to bring our inspirational in-store environment to London, which has some of the most demanding beauty fans in the world,’ said Sylvie Moreau President Europe, Middle East at Sephora.

‘We know that London’s youthful and inventive vibe is one of the best places on in the world for us to introduce some of the innovations that will make the Sephora experience even more extraordinary in the future.’ 

Sarah Boyd, Managing Director of Sephora UK, has also revealed that the company has been ‘inundated with questions about our plans to open stores’ since its online launch last autumn.

‘Sephora is one of the most requested stores by Westfield London customers and I am delighted they have chosen our destination to open their first physical store in the UK’, said Katie Wyle, General Manager at Westfield London.

‘The launch of their store marks the growth of our beauty offer and will be a landmark moment for beauty fans where they can discover Sephora’s compelling brand mix combined with a high energy, digitally enhanced in-store experience. We’re now on the countdown to what will be an extraordinary opening day!’

In October, online beauty fans went wild when they learned that the global make-up giant is officially arriving in the UK, following its acquisition of the Feelunique website in 2021.

Excited tweets had been piled in, with make-up enthusiasts gushing that this was the ‘good news they needed’.

There has been a longstanding demand for Sephora in the UK from beauty and make-up fans.

Excited shoppers took to social media to express their anticipation for the beauty giant’s British debut.

‘SEPHORA IN THE UK IS HAPPENING !!!!!’ one user exclaimed.

Another penned: ‘OMFG SEPHORA IS COMING TO THE UK!!!’

Elsewhere, someone wrote: ‘My prayers have been answered y’all Sephora is coming to the UK.’

‘Sephora is officially coming to the UK,’ another added. ‘This is NOT a drill.’ 

The company’s Chairman and CEO praised the UK’s ‘dynamic beauty and wellbeing market’ following the long awaited announcement.

‘We are delighted to bring Sephora to the UK, responding to Britain’s strong demand for our unique prestige beauty experience,’ Chris de Lapuente said.

‘We will offer British consumers a pioneering selection of beauty that is best in class for innovation, diversity and inclusion. Our passionate team cannot wait to serve and inspire UK customers under the Sephora brand.’

Sephora promises a ‘fully immersive website’ which will be twinned with its app, and offer brands exclusive to its UK offering, including Tarte Cosmetics, ILIA, Makeup by Mario, ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr, GXVE by Gwen Stefani, Skinfix, Vegamour, and Sephora’s own Sephora Collection.
