Serena Williams makes surprise cameo on Lip Sync Battle to help Brooklyn Decker defeat Andy Roddick

She was bundled out of the Australian Open in the quarter finals.

But Serena Williams looks like she could fare a little better on Thursday, when the 37-year-old will join forces with Brooklyn Decker to help defeat Andy Roddick on Lip Sync Battle.

A preview for the episode showed the actress and the tennis ace combining for a performance of Beyonce’s track Sorry – the music video for which actually featured Serena. 

Former world number one Roddick seemed genuinely shocked to see fellow tennis star Williams backing up his wife in the challenge.

The 23-time grand slam winner wore a black leotard and black boots which sat just above the knee.

Around Serena’s neck sat an ornate silver necklace.

‘We’re here to win this!’ the athlete told co-host LL Cool J in a post battle interview.

The mother-of-one recently endured a disappointing finish to her Australian grand slam campaign.

She lost to Czech Karolina Pliskova in an intense three set match last Wednesday.

It leaves the former world number one just one grand slam short of equaling the most titles of all time, an honor currently held by Australian Margaret Court.
