Newlywed Serena Williams offered her fans a tantalizing look inside what she described as her and Alexis Ohanians’s ‘perfect honeymoon villa’ on a private island in the Bahamas – as she slipped in a plug for a popular travel website.
On Tuesday, the tennis ace and new mom posted on her Instagram page a brief video shot by her husband’s drone equipped with a camera, which shows a sprawling beachside lodge nestled among palm trees, set against a postcard-worthy tropical sunset.
As the camera zooms in on the two-story, $35,000-per-week villa, Williams, 36, is seen posing up on the balcony.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the video has been viewed more than 160,000 times on Williams’ page, which boasts 7.1million followers.
It is unclear whether Williams and her family were allowed to stay for free at the ritzy private resort, or received a discount, in exchange for the mention on her Instagram page.
In addition to the short video showing Williams solo, a still photo emerged depicting the multimillionaire honeymooners standing on the balcony together and gazing lovingly into each other’s eyes while holding matching coffee mugs in their hands.
On his Instagram page, Ohanian also shared photo from the resort, which shows him holding the Phantom drone used to shoot the video posted on his wife’s page.

People reported that the power couple’s honeymoon digs are comprised of the 3,600-square-foot Magnolia villa – one of nine such accommodations on the island – that is accessible only by helicopter, private boat or a seaplane.
According to the resort’s website, the 3.5-bedroom, 4.5-bath luxury cottage boasts an open-concept floor plan with 20-foot peak ceilings and opens onto a ‘well-appointed’ 1,500 square-foot beachfront terrace with panoramic views of the Atlantic.
Kamalame Cay – named the No 1 resort hotel in the region by Travel + Leisure Magazine this summer – offers the services of private chefs, butlers and personal trainers around the clock.
Vacationers can enjoy plant- based, gluten-free meals – and daily deliveries of freshly baked cookies.
The manicured property also includes an overwater spa with organic beauty products, tennis courts, a three-mile-long private beach, a seaside Tiki bar and even childcare services.
While it has not been confirmed that Booking.com picked up the tab for Williams and Ohanian’s honeymoon vacation, this would not be the first time that the Wimbledon winner – ranked 51 on Forbes Magazine’s list of the world’s highest-paid athletes – used her Instagram page to cash in by promoting companies.
Blushing bride: Just two days after her lavish New Orleans wedding, Williams shared a video on her social media platform to plug HomeAway
Williams, who took home $27million last year in prize money and endorsement deals, and her Reddit co-founder fiance were joined by a bevy of A-listers in New Orleans for their extravagant nuptials
Just two days after her lavish New Orleans wedding, Williams shared a video on her social media platform showing the eight-room, $1,250-a-night mansion in the French Quarter where she and her bridesmaids stayed for free before the big day. The video has since been taken down.
Williams, who took home $27million last year in prize money and endorsement deals, gave a prominent plug to HomeAway, the Airbnb-like rentals website, which gave her the property and commissioned the post, written on the screen along with the mandatory ‘#ad’, Serena filmed herself inside the ‘perfect’ home. In her most recent post giving a shout-out to Booking.com, there was no sign of the tell-tale ‘#ad’ hashtag.
Booking.com is not listed as one of Williams’ official sponsor, which include Nike, Beats Electronics and Gatorade, and her Reddit co-founder husband is not an investor in the travel site.
